TTD is planning to Celebrate Spiritual Varalakshmi Vratam Festival Online on July 31
In view of the Covid-19 Pandemic situation and restrictions, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has planned to organize the holy event of the Varalakshmi Vratam Festival online. TTD will allow Devotees to participate through virtual Online feat on July 31.

For the benefit of Devotees across the country and overseas Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams will telecast this holy event live on Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel (SVBC). The Devotees can participate in the Varalakshmi Vratam Festival sitting in their homes on July 31 between 10 AM and 12 PM.
The Tickets can be booked online by Devotees through the official Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Website from 5 PM of July 22 to 5 PM of July 30. On payment of Rs 1001/- and get receipts from TTD as per Terms and Conditions.
TTD will offer One Uttariyam, One Blouse Piece, Kumkum Packet, Bangles, and other prasadam packets as a part of special pujas and as a part of The Varalakshmi Vratam festival to Devotees across India through India Post.
Gotranamams of Devotees written on a paper will be placed at the holy feet of Lord Padmavathi in Sanctum. According to the advice of Archakas, The participants should take "Sankalpam" by reciting their name and Gotram witnessing the Live pooja. Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has clarified that even the local pilgrims also Could not participate in the event at the Temple. They can also participate only through online by witnessing the SVBC Channel.

According to Legend Goddess, Sri Maha Lakshmi incarnation occurred in the Tiruchanoor Padma Sarovar and then Varalakshmi Vratam is being conducted in the Sravana Masam every year. The Skanda and Bhavishyottara Puranas narrate the rituals of Varalakshmi Vratam as told by Lord Shiva to Goddess Parvathi.
