Water Levels in Dams and Reservoirs in Tirumaa are Adequate for Next 300 days due to heavy rains

The heavy rains from the past one week in Tirumala have brought sufficient waters into the reservoirs which would suffice the water needs in Tirumala for the Next 300 days. Almost 85% of Dams and Reservoirs are now having adequate water levels in Tirumala.

After a Sudden Inspection of the Papavinasanam Dam, The Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy along with TTD Waterworks EE Srihari and Engineers said that The rains in the July Month are the result of Virataparva Parayanam conducted by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams which is under the way for seeking good rains and prosperity.  

Additional EO is also hoping that Sundara Kanda Parayanam in front of Lord Venkateshwara Temple at Nadaneerjana Mandapam premises will bring great relief to humanity from the Covid-19 Pandemic situation. He is also expecting Southwest Monsoon will bring good rainfall during October-December Months.

Due to heavy rains in July Month water levels in Kumaradhara have reached 98%, Pasupudhara 95%, Akashaganga 30%, and Gogarbham dam 50%, while Papavinasanam Dam has reached 100% of its capacity and gates, have opened and water has released. He is also expecting more rains in the upcoming months. 30 Gallons of water is being released from the Papavinasanam dam for the daily needs of Tirumala.
