Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) has made glorious all round progress in Patients care, Research, Administration, Teaching, Innovations and reforms.Recently SVIMS has entered in to 29th year.TTD has defined nine key initiatives for SVIMS restructuring along with key review meetings to emerge as the Centre of Excellence.

The Annual Celebrations were held grandly at Mahati Auditorium on Saturday. Dr Vengamma disclosed the total number of patients utilizing SVIMS Medical and Clinical services is increasing year by year. Under Sri Venkateswara Pranadana Scheme poor and needy patients are being provided with PET and CT Scan service and PET CTs costing Rs 3.62 crore have been done free of cost .
There were a total of 4.06,353 outpatients and 41,937 inpatients. A Total of 11,351 surgeries were performed in SVIMS. During the covid times the VRD lab has tested 16,92,295 samples till date and From December 2021 they started sequencing studies for research purposes. SVIMS has turned out to be a covid hosiptal and more than 12,990 positive cases was witnessed. They have also given 51,032 doses of Remedesivir for Covid-19 affected patients and 16 doses of antibody cocktail for free of cost.
Recently SVIMS has been granted National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) under the hospital accreditation programme. This accreditation shall be effective for three years subjected to continued compliance.This accreditation will result in high quality of care and protected patient safety rights which will improve over all professional development that enables to demonstrate commitment to quality patient care, Information on infrastructure facilties that gives best possible outcomes.
