Sri Padmavathi Paediatric Hospital of TTD has performed Record number of cardiac children surgeries in no time

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) Sri Padmavathi Paediatric Cardiac Hospital has successfully performed  a record number of cardiac children surgeries (128) in just over four months.Sri Padmavathi Paedriatic Cardiac Hospital under TTD maintenance was inaugurated four months ago.They have started surgeries for children aged days to eighteen years.

Andhra Pradesh Government is providing free accomodation and food for attendants of patients beside bearing the cost of surgery and post operative care. Andhra Pradesh is the only state to provide all facilties for children surgeries in the entire country.

Earlier former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy started the Arogyasru Scheme for poor people.Under this scheme Heart  surgeries for children were performed for free of cost. At this tenture he aspired to start an exclusive hospital for children who are suffering from cardiac ailments.

After becoming Chiel Minister his son YS Jagan Mohan Reddy fulfilles Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy's wish to start an exclusive hospital for children's cardiac ailments with free consultation. He inaugurated Sri Padmavathi Paediatric hospital on October 11 2021. 

According to a survey nearly 10000 children are born in Andhra Pradesh state with threatening Heart diseases every year. Among which one third of children condition is critical and several children are unable to live up to one year. if the children are provided with timely medical care then the chances are more to free from these diseases and led happy life with bright future.

TTD is also planning to construct a 350 bed hospital for children to help children suffering from various diseases theough various schemes. In short time TTD has spent Rs 25 cr to build 70 bed Sri Padmavathi Paediatric hospital in the old block of TTD's BIRRD Hospital with a temporary infratructure of 40 ICU beds , Five consultation suites, an OP block and three Laminar flow OTs.

Specialists from Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai are providing their best services as visiting consultants in this hospital. There are ten regular surgeons available in the hospital. On an average Five to Six surgeries have been performed everyday
