The Beauty of TTD Gardens in Tirumala

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Gardens is one of the beautiful ornamental places spread across 460 acres of land. All the deities in various temples are decorated with these flowers. It is located at a distance of 2 kms from Tirumala. The Garden also includes Alwar Tank, Ananthapalligunta, and Mangalabhavi.

TTD  Garden comprises of more than 200+ varieties of flowers with over 10+ lakh plants are planted in four chambers.TTD garden was established in the 14th century by Sri Anandalwar. He is the great disciple of Sri Ramanuja. Sri Anandalwar was used to make special garlands for Lord Sri Venkateshwara.

A wide variety of plants like Lotuses, Roses, Crotons, Davana, Tulasi, Exora, Kanagambaram, bougainvilleas, Chrysanthemums, hibiscus etc.. TTD garden also has several ponds and Water tanks which are very much helpful for irrigation and water supply purposes for Devotees. A wide variety of Plants are maintained by TTD through the process of Hybridisation and mutation. TTD Gardens will supply 500kg Flowers every day to Lord Venkateshwara and other surrounding TTD Temples.

There are four nurseries located at the Tirumala area in which ten lakh plants are propagated and exotic flowers and garlands are displayed every year in a horticulture show and also in Pushpayagam. The Places include Gogarbham Dam Area, Divyaramam Area, Sri Padmavathi Guest House Area, and Travelers Bungalow Area. TTD Gardens are cultivated by Sattada Sri Vaishnavas under the name of Dasa Nambis.
