Akasa Ganga- A Must Visit Beautiful Sacred Place in Tirumala.

Akasa Ganga Sacred Waterfall is a special and unique attractive place in Tirumala to visit with a family. Tirumala Hills stretches to a vast area with a number of famous lakes, waterfalls and Flower gardens, This is undoubtedly the beautiful, famous, and worth visiting Tourist spot in Tirumala Hills amidst of Tirumala forest range with a wonderful serene water stream falls. The Holy water in Akasa Ganga flows like a heavenly flow of water from the Natural Hills,  rocks and lush greenery is the best scenic ever. 

Akasa Ganga Theertham

This holy water holds high religious significance as it is used for Lord Venkateshwara Swamy's Abhisekham. The Fresh Mountain water in Akasa Ganga is so pure and tastes so good. This waterfall is considered a famous theertham for Devotees as people belives that the holy water originates from the Lotus feet of Lord Venkateshwara in the Temple. It is a perfect place to have memories for a lifetime. According to ancient history Anjana Devi has done penance here in this place as she was childless for 12 years on the advice of sage matanga and conceived Lord Hanuman.

Akasa Ganga Waterfalls

Akasa Ganga is located at a distance of around 5 km from the Tirumala Bus station. It is on the way to the Papavinasanam route. The Location is pretty much charming and is surrounded by Greenery all around with water coming down from rocks. Devotees need to walk down about 500 meters. Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams runs free buses to this Holy place apart from Normal APSRTC buses and other private transport facilities. There is a Ganga temple and there is a waterfall about 100 steps down.

Devotees have to climb steps to reach this holy place. In Earlier days Tirumala Nambi family is allowed to take a holy dip at this famous theertham. Devotees will take a bath here in which they feel is equivalent to performing hundreds of rituals as that confers good fortune. All the evils and sins will be washed away if we took bath in this holy place. Nowadays Devotees are allowed to wash their hands in this theertham and they are not allowed for bathing.
