Bhoomi Puja to be held by TTD at Lord Hanuman's birth place on February 16th

On the auspicious day of Magha Pournami on Wednesday February 16 Bhoomi Pooja will be performed at Akasaganga temple in Tirumala where Anjanadri is located and is believed to be the birth place of Lord Hanuman.

Among the different popular locations in Tirumala Anjanadri is considered as one of the most popular devine location of Tirumala Hills. In Sri Venkatachala Mahatyam they have mentioned specially about the greatness of the Lord Hanuman's birth place and also in the anthology of puranas related to Sri Venkatachalam as described by the great Viashnava saint Sri Ramanujacharya about thousand years ago. Devotees from different corners of the world via several mediums to TTD to declare Anjanadri as the birth place of Lord Hanuman as a famous hillock which was located in Tirumala Hills. Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) administration initiated a Pandita Parishat Scholar commitee headed by Professor V Muralidhara Sarma, Former Vice chancellor of National Sanskrit University, Tirupati. This commitee thoroughly study the epigraphic, Puranic, Geological evidence and establish concrete proofs to declare Anjanadri as Lord Hanuman birth place.

Earlier a two day international webinar was held  with many best ethentic scholars on July 30 and 31, 2021 to bring out authentic ciatations from various epics and other inscriptions. The contibutions made by the scholars are very valuable and they bring treatise to devotees with most authentic information regarding the birth place of Lord Hanuman.
