Deities and other Murthies in Tirumala Temple

As according to Vaikanasa Agama Sastras Lord Venkateshwara is represented in Five Deities including Moolavirat which is referred to as Pancha Berams. Pancha means Five, Berams means Deity. The Five Deities are named as Dhruva Beram ( also called as Moolavar), Kautuka Beram, Snapana Beram, Utsava Beram and Bali Beram. All these Pancha Beramulu are placed in the Garbha griha under Ananda Nilayam Vimanam.

Along with Pancha Berams The temple consists of Panchaloha Deities of Lord Sri Rama, Lakshmana, Sri Krishna Swamy, Rukmini and Chakratalwar. Tirumala temple also hosts various deities like Garuda, Anantha, Sugriva, Viswaksena and Sri Ramanuja. Vimana Venkateshwara is the exact replica of Lord Venkateshwara which was carved on the Top of the Ananda Nilayam secod tier north west corner.

Dhruva Beram ( MoolaVirat): Under the Anandanilayam and in the center of Garbha griha The Moolavirat of Sri Lord Venkateshwara's Standing Posture is seen on Lotus base. Lord Venkateshwara with four arms, two arms hold Shanka and Chakra, One arm in Varada posture and other in Kati Posture. Moolavirat of Lord Venkateshwara is considered as main source of energy for the Tirumala  temple. Lord Venkateshwara's consort Lakshmi will be staying on the Chest of Lord. The diety is well adorned with Namam and precious jewels like Nagabharanam, Vajra Kiritam, Makarakundalams, Lakshmi Haram, Saligrama Haram and Makara Kanti.

Kautuka Beram ( Bhoga Srinivasa ): This is a small Silver diety which is of one small foot (0.3 m). Pallava Queen Samavai was given this diety to Temple in 614 AD for conducting festivals.This deity is always placed near the left foot of Moolavirat. It is always connected to the main deity by a holy Sambandha Kroocha. Bhoga Srinivasa deity will receive all daily sevas on behalf of Moolavirat. Bhoga means Pleasure. Bhoga Srinivasa will receive Ekantha Seva daily and SahasraKalasabhishekham on Wednesday.

Snapana Beram (Ugra Srinivasa): Ugra Srinivasa deity represents fearsome aspect of Lord Venkateshwara. Ugra means Angry. Snapana Beram means cleansing.This deity comes out once in a year on Kaisikha Dwadasi day only before the sunrise. Ugra Srinivasa diety receives daily Abhishekham on behalf of Moolavirat. This deity is a main until 1330 CE. After that this deity was replaced by Malayappa Swamy Deity and so deity remains in Sanctum.

Utsava Beram ( Lord Malayappa Swamy) : Lord Malayappa Swamy is the Utsava Beram of the Tirumala Temple and is always with his consorts  Sridevi and Bhudevi. Lord Malayappa Swamy receives Brahmotsavams, Kalyanotsavams, Vasanthotsavams, Dolotsavams, Sahasra Deepalnkarana Seva, Padmavathi Parinayotsavams, Anivarasthanams, Pushpa Palliki and Ugadi Asthanam festivals.

Bali Beram ( Koluvu Srinivasa) : Koluvu Srinivasa is regarded as the guardian deity of Tirumala Temple and is also represented as Bali Beram. Koluvu Srinivasa presides over Financial and Economic affairs. Koluvu Means engaged in. In Tirumala Daily Koluvu seva will be held in the morning, during which the previous day's temple offerings, Accounts Presentations, Total Income and Expenditures are notified to Koluvu Srinivasa deity. Along with the above information Panchanga Sravanam, Time of Sunrise and Sunset Information along with Nakshatra information are notified to Koluvu Srinivasa Deity.
